What runs
The servers, workstations, links and services actually in use, who uses them and since when. Without this section, none of the others can be stated at all.
The first step
Before selling you anything, we look at what you already have. You receive a written document stating what runs, what is exposed, what is no longer backed up, and what each point costs you if it is left alone. The document is yours.
Free of charge · about 30 minutes
On site or over the phone. You say what worries you, and together we set what will be looked at. By the end of it, you know what the assessment covers and what it does not.
On site, or remote
We record what actually runs, not what is meant to run. How long it takes depends on the number of sites and machines: you are told at the end of the first conversation, not partway through. Nothing is changed during the survey.
Within five working days
You receive the written document, ranked by severity, and we read it together — on site or over video. A report sent on its own gets filed unread; a report read together gets discussed.
No commitment
You take one package, several, or none. Nothing in the document commits you to giving us the work, and it still stands if you ask someone else.
Here are its sections, in the order you read them.

What gets backed up, where, how often, and the date of the last restore actually tested. A backup that has never been restored is not a backup, it is an intention.
Accounts and services open to the outside, accounts with no owner left, rights that go beyond the job of whoever holds them, and the ones your former provider kept.
Subscriptions renewed because they were already there, duplicates, and the hours taken back every week by someone you pay to do something else.
Stated in days of business lost, not as a percentage of risk: a director weighs lost days, not a probability.
Each fix is priced on its own and can be bought on its own, in order of severity. No package makes another one compulsory.
No sample figures are shown here. The values in an assessment are the ones from your own estate; a generic extract would be made up, and a page that makes up one figure invites you to check the rest.
An email is enough: say in one sentence what worries you today. We reply to set up the first conversation.
